Who May Utilize The Pantry?
Any resident of Warren County, IL may utilize the First Christian Church food pantry. There are no income requirements, and no proof of income is necessary. The pantry operates on a limited budget funded primarily through church donors. For this reason we ask those capable of securing food by other means to do so out of deference and consideration for our friends and neighbors who cannot.
The First Christian Church food pantry is operated and maintained entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers--a team that would LOVE to include you! In addition to the overseeing the twice-weekly service itself, food pantry workers meet throughout the week during daytime hours to prepare commodity disbursements as well as unload and process new inventory.
In addition to their valuable time, many individuals and local businesses choose to support the food pantry through food donations. We are unable to accept monetary gifts, but welcome commodity donations anytime Monday-Thursday: 9-5. If you are unable to drop off donation during these hours, special arrangements can be made upon request.
