Jim Epperson has been the pastor here at FCC for the past 22 years. The First Christian Church of Monmouth was originally founded in 1839. So the myth can finally be laid to rest…Jim was not the first pastor of FCC (probably). He is married to FCC’s worship director Pam Epperson. Together they have 3 children and 7 grand children. Jim is an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers fan rightfully shunning his Iowa roots having originally come from Onawa, Ia. Onawa lays claim to the creation of the ‘Eskimo Pie’ but Jim has not yet come forward to confirm he may have aided in it’s invention.
